WHAT WE BELIEVE

Young people are not merely beneficiaries.

They are leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs and community problem-solvers.

Nutrition is not only a health issue.

It is also an economic, agricultural, social and governance issue.

Climate action must make economic sense to communities.

A climate-smart solution should also improve resilience and livelihoods.

Training is not enough.

Skills must have a pathway into practice, enterprise and income.

Advocacy must lead to action.

Community voices should influence decisions, budgets, services and policies.

Local innovation matters.

Communities often possess solutions that need support, refinement, evidence and investment.

OUR BIGGER VISION

Youth leadership, nutrition security, climate-smart livelihoods and accountable governance reinforcing one another.

Jamii Ajibika is working towards a future where youth leadership, nutrition security, climate-smart livelihoods and accountable governance reinforce one another.

We envision a community development model in which a young person can:

find their voice → gain knowledge → develop skills → access opportunity → start an enterprise → earn an income → improve household nutrition → participate in community leadership → mentor another young person.

That is the transformation we want to see.

Community resilience and participation
